Welcome, and thanks for supporting our family farm. ABC Farms Co. is operated by ABC Homestead, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company (“ABC Farms,” “we,” “us”). By buying from us — at the Eggloo, through our website, or at an event — you’re agreeing to these terms. Please read them, especially the part about food allergens.

About our products

ABC Farms is a family farm. We sell our own fresh eggs and raw honey, along with small-batch baked goods and snacks.

Our baked goods are made in a home kitchen that is not subject to state or local food-safety inspection. They are made under Illinois cottage food regulations. We hold a Food Service Sanitation Manager certification and follow safe-handling practices, but you should know the products are home-produced.

Food allergen notice — please read

Our products are made in a home kitchen that also handles wheat, eggs, milk, tree nuts (including pecans), peanuts, and soy. Even when a particular item doesn’t list one of these, it may have come into contact with it. We cannot guarantee any product is free of any allergen.

If you or anyone you’re sharing with has a food allergy or sensitivity, please check the label before eating and use your own judgment. You’re responsible for reviewing ingredient and allergen information on the product label.

A note on raw honey

Our honey is raw and unpasteurized — that’s how we like it. Raw honey should not be fed to infants under 12 months old, per standard food-safety guidance.

The Eggloo (our roadside stand)

The Eggloo is an unmanned, self-serve stand that runs on the honor system. When you take a product, you agree to pay the marked price by cash or Venmo (@ABC-Farms). We trust our neighbors, and that trust is what keeps the stand open. Product availability varies with what our hens and hives are producing and what we’ve baked.

Orders, pricing, and availability

Prices and availability can change, and some items are seasonal or made in small batches that sell out. We do our best to keep listings accurate but can’t guarantee everything is always available. We may cancel and refund an order we’re unable to fill.

Shipping

We ship eligible non-perishable items within Illinois only, with tamper-evident packaging, as Illinois cottage food rules require. We cannot ship across state lines. Eggs, perishable items, and many fresh baked goods are available for local pickup at the Eggloo or at events only.

Payment

We accept cash, Venmo (@ABC-Farms), and card payments. Online orders are processed through Shopify, and in-person card payments are processed through Square. Online payments are handled securely by our payment processors.

Text messaging (SMS)

By opting in to ABC Farms text messages — for example, by checking the SMS box at checkout — you agree to receive recurring automated marketing texts (product news, flavor drops, and farm updates) at the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

Returns and refunds

Because we sell food, all sales are generally final. If something is wrong with your order, email us at hello@abcfarms.co and we’ll make it right.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, ABC Homestead, LLC and its owners, members, and staff aren’t liable for any indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of our products or website. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product in question. Nothing here limits any rights you can’t waive under law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
